Fostering Supervising Social Worker

Fostering Done Differently!

Evergreen Foster Care is a highly specialised service that focuses on placing children from residential schools or children’s homes into intensively supported, foster care placements. The aim of Evergreen Foster Care is to provide placements for children who would not be able to access standard foster care, but could, if adequately supported, make the transition to a family environment.

As children coming out of residential care usually have a range of difficulties, only one foster child can be placed with a family at any one time. This ensures that progress is not complicated by the competing needs of equally complex/challenging children, and that the placement maintains stability.

We understand how difficult it is to foster children who have social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties, and who may also have aspects of autistic spectrum condition, so our full-time carers receive a generous package including, exceptional allowances, 65 days respite, 20 x group reflection sessions, 20 x 1:1 therapy sessions and much more.
